internship at iscp

Interns at International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) have a chance to immerse themselves in this busy multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment, learn new skills, gain experience running a not-for-profit arts organization and get to know a vast network of New York and international art professionals. If you see your future in art, whether as artist, curator or administrator, ISCP can provide an invaluable foundation in a variety of skills, experience and contacts.

Fall interns will work with the staff for various projects and in the daily operations of ISCP, including ISCP's semi annual Open Studios (November). This four-day exhibition event of 25 artists and three curators attracts approximately 3,000 visitors from the professional art community and the public.
They will also have contact with working on a expedition of 18 artists and curators to the Artic Circle in 2009.

Requirements:
1) Excellent written and verbal English, Mac computer literacy, online research and e-mail experience.
2) Curiosity, initiative, and a passion for contemporary visual art. Desirable: a second language, graphic design skills, website design & maintenance.

For the duration of the internship, ISCP will pay $10/day for transportation and lunch. Academic credit is available.

Interns are invited to ISCP's exclusive events/programs, such as Field Trips and ISCP Salons.

If you are a flexible, well-organized, detail oriented and highly motivated multi-tasker, and can give at least two days a week of your time, please e-mail: skim at iscp-nyc.org.
Please include a brief statement on why you would like to work at ISCP and attach your résumé. No phone calls please.
